SRT WebSwitch allows for total virtualization of your web server farm. WebSwitch allows multiple web servers to "hide" behind a single external IP address, and can be used for web load balancing, server isolation, and transparency of services.

WebSwitch is most valuable to organizations hosting their own website or the websites of others. WebSwitch allows hosting services to proxy incoming connections, re-write the HTTP request, and forward it on to various internal servers based on the rules WebSwitch was configured with.

Web servers such as Apache allow for name-based virtual hosting: multiple sites hosted within a single machine. WebSwitch allows for another level of virtualization above that: any number of web servers hosted behind a single IP address, each with their own virtual hosts.

SRT WebSwitch is available in a variety of forms:

• WebSwitch Appliance: A dedicated router/firewall which can be plugged into your existing network, bridging your external connection to your internal network. The WebSwitch Appliance is available as either a single-node appliance or the dual-node high-availability WebSwitch Appliance Cluster.
• Software: The WebSwitch software may be run on either Windows or Linux-based servers. It can also be combined with TKCluster for high-availability operation on your existing cluster.
