Open Letter
Hi, my name is Tom Kunz and I'm the owner of Solid Rock
Technologies. I started SRT
by myself as a home-based business in Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania.
My wife Corianne and I would like you to know about two things which
we find extremely important, and both are related to children: orphans
and trafficked children. Consider these facts:
- About 600,000 to 800,000 people are trafficked over international borders each year, the vast majority of whom are women and children who are forced into sexual slavery.(ref)
- The US is the leading "country of destination" for sexually exploited people.(ref)
- Orphans from Russia, Eastern Europe, and many other countries fall into "at risk" status for crime, abuse, and trafficking. (ref)
- Only 10% of Russian orphans become functional members of society.(ref)
What is being done about it?
Do you have a heart for children? Do you have a stable, loving home?
Have you considered international adoption? Have you considered supporting some of the organizations that are combatting human trafficking?
If you or someone you love is interested in adopting a child or a
whole set of siblings, I would encourage you to visit the web site "All God's
Children". They are an adoption agency that takes out a lot of
the headaches and pitfalls from the adoption process, especially
foreign adoptions.
There are many organizations, both governmental and
private/charitable, which are combatting human trafficking. But the
two favorites of my wife and I
are International Justice Mission
and Make Way Partners.
They are working towards ending modern-day slavery and giving hope and
a new life to the victims of human trafficking and sexual slavery.
